The city of Melville seems to have escaped the worst of the storm that brought hail, torrential rain and tornados to many parts of the Parkland Sunday. Mayor Walter Streelasky says Melville was on the fringe of the storm, and only got 5 mm of rain, and no flooding. But he also says he was closely watching as those ominous clouds rolled over. 2 tornados touched down between Melville and Yorkton, and one near Roblin, Manitoba. Streets in Yorkton were flooded after 60 mm of rain fell.
