The shooting death of 22-year-old Colton Boushie on a private property near Biggar got people talking on social media. However people appear to be taking sides on the incident, in terms of who’s to blame, and Saskatchewan’s Premier had enough. Brad Wall took to Facebook on the matter, saying racism has no place in the province, and asks for the hate-fueled comments to stop. Wall also expressed confidence that the RCMP will conduct a thorough investigation and will lay appropriate charges. Recently the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations accused the RCMP of releasing a “biased” press release. And the Mounties had said they would like to speak with FSIN to discuss its concerns.
