The judge in a North Battleford Courtroom is going to need more time to decide on whether or not to grant bail to a murder suspect.
The judge will release a written decision either tomorrow (Fri) or sometime next week after reversing his decision. Gerald Stanley, a 54 year old Biggar area farmer, pleaded not guilty this morning (Thurs) to a 2nd degree murder charge in the shooting death of 22 year old Colten Boushie last Tuesday, and had the bail hearing this afternoon.
200 people gathered outside the courthouse holding signs with anti-racism slogans and wearing “Justice for Colten” pins.
Boushie was a passenger in a car with four other people that a family member says were looking for help with a flat tire.
