A Red Earth First Nation man remains in custody, awaiting his preliminary hearing, in connection with the death of a fellow Red Earth resident.
In Nipawin Provincial Court yesterday (WED), the prelim for 24-year-old Caleb Head, who faces six counts in all, including Second Degree Murder, was set for January 16th, back in Nipawin.
On April 24th, Mounties were called to a home on the Red Earth reserve where they found a woman, with life threatening injuries. 22-year-old Alyssa Nawakayas died in hospital five days later.
Police say the victim and the accused knew each other.
