Former Saskatchewan deputy premier, and minister responsible for SGI and SLGA, Don McMorris pleaded guilty to an impaired driving charge.
McMorris was also fined 18 hundred 20 dollars, and has been given a one-year driving ban. After making his first court appearance in Regina, he spoke to reporters outside Regina Provincial Court, where he said he would do anything to change what he did, but can’t, and has to move forward.
McMorris admitted to driving a government vehicle while intoxicated August 5th. Shortly after the charge of impaired driving was laid, he resigned from cabinet the next day, and apologized for his actions.
