SaskEnergy gas bills are set to drop a little by November 1st if recommendation is given final approval by cabinet.
Today (Wed), the Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel recommended a reduction of about 2 dollars and 30 cents a month or 28 dollars per year for a typical home.
There still remains question of the Crown utility’s rising capital spending though, and the affect it may have on future bills.
Capital spending went from 50.5 million dollars in 2010 to a forecast of 102. 7 million in 2016 — with similar levels expected in the next few years.
