Hurricane Matthew’s effects are starting to be felt along the U.S Atlantic coast. The storm has left the Caribbean and begun what’s expected to be a days-long pounding of the U-S east coast with sustained winds of 200 km/h as it approaches Florida. Millions of people have been warned to flee inland ahead of the most powerful storm to threaten the Atlantic coast in more than a decade. Power outages are already being reported, and flights in and out of Florida cancelled. Governor Rick Scott continues urging people to evacuate while they can.
