A man arrested in connection with a home invasion and high speed pursuit in Yorkton in May, has admitted this guilt.
25-year-old Blaine Quewezance was in Yorkton Provincial Court today (Wed), where he pleaded guilty to numerous charges, including Break and Enter and Assault With a Weapon.
He was sentenced to 8 years in prison, less 75 days credit for time served.
Mounties say the chase started on May 15th, after they received a report of two people being attacked at a home on 2nd Avenue North by five masked assailants, who fled in a stolen truck.
After a pursuit reached speeds of 80 kilometres per hour through the St. Mary’s School zone, the truck slammed into a tree on James Avenue, and 4 of the suspects fled on foot.
