A member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders has been killed in Terrytown Louisiana.
It happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in the community, and it involved Saskatchewan Roughriders running back Joe McKnight and another man.
A witness of the incident says it appeared McKnight was attempting to apologize to the individual who was yelling at him, but the man shot the 28-year-old multiple times.
This past season for the Riders, McKnight had 38 carries for 228 yards. He also spent time with the National Football League’s New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs.
