A guilty plea has been entered, by a Fort Qu’Appelle man, charged with a murder in Regina earlier this year.
28-year-old Jerid Cole Azure was charged with Second Degree Murder, following the death of 56-year-old Andre Joseph Aubertin, of Regina.
On March 29th, Regina Police responded to a home on Princess Street, for a weapons call and report of an injured man. At the scene, they found Aubertin, who was pronounced dead in hospital.
At his appearance Wednesday, in Regina Provincial Court, the murder charge was stayed, when Azure pled guilty to the lesser charge of Manslaughter, and was given a 12-year jail sentence, with credit for the 15 months he has already spent in custody.
