The investigation into Sunday night’s shooting at a Quebec City mosque has lead to charges being laid.
Police charged 27-year-old Alexandre Bisonnette with 6 counts of 1st degree murder and 5 counts of attempted murder. Quebec cops also arrested a second person, but the person is considered a witness now.
The news of the shooting that killed six and injured dozens more got the attention of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Trudeau offered his deepest sympathies and said all of Canada mourns the loss, adding the nation won’t be broken by such a terrorist act. Trudeau also expressed gratitude to other world leaders for expressing their sympathy and support.
Vigils were held Monday night in Regina and Quebec City for the vicitms.
