A 38-year-old woman who pleaded guilty to Manslaughter
in connection with a death on the Waywayseecappo First Nation, has been sentenced.
In August of 2015, police were called to a home on the reserve, where they found a man dead from a stab wound.
Mounties say the two were known to each other.
Shalla Anne Bell admitted to the offence last June.
In Waywayseecappo Provincial Court yesterday (Mon), Bell was sentenced to 3 years in prison, less the time she’s already served in custody on remand.
