It’s something that happens once in a blue moon, but Interim NDP leader Trent Wotherspoon was kicked out of the assembly Thursday.
What happened was during a debate about the closure of the Saskatchewan Transportation Company with Premier Brad Wall, Wotherspoon referred to Wall as “deceitful” with respect to Wednesday’s budget.
Wotherspoon also accused Wall of “not being straight” with the people of the province in regards to his promise of not selling Crown Corporations.
When asked to apologize for his comments, the Interim leader refused, leading to the removal.
He then later took to social media to say he simply couldn’t apologize for what he said.
His fellow colleagues, MLA’s Cathy Sproule, Nicole Sarauer and Ryan Meili also went to social media, but to express praise to Wotherspoon for sticking to his guns.
