Zebra Mussels are becoming a problem in Manitoba, and officials in Saskatchewan are doing their best to ensure they don’t come over the border. The invasive species has been spotted in Singush Lake in Duck Lake Provincial Park near the Saskatchewan border. The species has the potential to cause havoc to the eco system. Minister of the Environment Scott Moe says they’ve tripled the governments decontamination units for the summer of 2017. Moe says you face a fine of $500 if you are caught not cleaning off your craft before coming over the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border.
