Saskatchewan government-owned liquor stores in Kelvington, Rosetown, and Wynyard have been sold for nearly 6 hundred thousand dollars combined.
The Liquor and Gaming Authority approved to sell Kelvington’s store to Silver Fox Liquor Store Limited for over $25-thousand dollars.
Pich & Pich Holdings Inc. bought the Rosetown and Wynyard locations for over $379-thousand and $179-thousand dollars respectively.
The private companies are in the process of finalizing their purchases.
It’s part of the provincial government’s plan, that was introduced in 2015, to convert half of the government-owned liquor stores to private ones. Another 11 stores have been approved for the switch.
