2016 figures from the Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics show that Saskatchewan ranks the worst in the country for crime.
The province more than doubles the national average with a crime severity ranking of 148.
As for crime in metropolitan area’s, Regina and Saskatoon top that list as well.
Regina’s crime severity increased 15 per cent between 2015 and 2016, up by 11 per cent, while Saskatoon followed, 8 points behind.
Together the cities outstand the national average of the by over 40 points.
