The RCMP have searched one of the areas where a Yorkton woman was last seen before her disappearance.
The search took place today (Tues) in a treed area near Sacred Heart High School in Yorkton, as part of the ongoing investigation into missing person Mekayla Bali.
Bali’s last known location was at a bus depot in the city on April 12th, 2016.
Mounties initially believed the 18-year-old might be in Regina or Saskatoon but have since expanded the search to all four western provinces.
The National Centre For Missing and Exploited Children in the U.S. suggested in July that she could also be in the Portland or Seattle areas.
Mounties also continue to look for a person of interest who was seen at the bus depot the day Mekayla went missing, but the man is not considered a suspect.
If you have any information about Mekayla, call your local police service or RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
