As Hurricane Irma approaches Florida this weekend, the Government of Canada is getting ready to step in and help where they can.
Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Ralph Goodale was in Regina this afternoon (Fri).
He says there are certain steps Canadians should follow if they are still in the path of the storm.
“The advice that we have been giving broadly to every Canadian that has been travelling into that area for the last number of weeks is make sure that the local consular office knows you’re there.” Goodale said.
The storm is predicted to hit the Florida Keys sometime tomorrow morning or early Sunday morning.
