Officials at the Health Foundation say it will be a few days yet before they know how much was raised in this year’s Farming for Health project.
Executive director Ross Fisher says they got the canola crop off in one day.
“It was an amazing day,” Fisher said cheerfully. “We had six combines going out there, we had two grain carts…three semi trucks that were helping us through the day.”
375 acres of canola was grown south of Queen Street and west of Highway 9.
Money raised will go toward the building of a new regional health centre.
