A pilot project, to ensure that low-income homeowners have a safely-functioning furnace, heading into fall and winter, is stopping in Yorkton.
Today (THURS), M.L. Plumbing & Heating, Yorkton Plumbing & Heating, and SaskEnergy are joining forces on the Tune-Up Assistance Program (TAP), which involves general furnace maintenance, along with the installation of multi-gas detectors, that can pick up the presence of both natural gas and carbon monoxide.
Wadena is also taking part in the program, which is aimed at homeowners, with a combined annual income of 52-thousand dollars.
