The second of three men charged in connection with an armed robbery near Wynyard late last year, has admitted his guilt. In Wynyard Provincial Court, 20-year-old Brendan Riess pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of Robbery with Violence, and was sentenced to 30 months in prison, less 24 days of time already served. In July, 18-year-old Suede Desjarlais admitted to the same charge, and was sentenced to 18-and-a-half months in jail. The third suspect, 22-year-old Devon Cyr, is scheduled to go to trial next year. Mounties say three people from Saskatoon were robbed at gunpoint in Kandahar on November 30th, with one person being forcibly confined, and assaulted with a weapon.
