Harvest in Saskatchewan is now 98% complete.
That’s according to the weekly crop report released this morning (Thurs).
The 5 year average for this time of year is 94% complete.
Saskatchewan Agriculture Crops Specialist Shannon Friesen says it’s in stark contrast to last year when millions of acres of crop was left standing in fields over the winter.
Friesen says the southeastern, southwestern and east-central regions all have 99 per cent of this year’s crops combined. The northeastern region has 96% of the crop in the bin and the northwestern region has 95%.
