The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce has received accreditation status from the Chamber Accreditation Council of Canada.
Yorkton Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Juanita Polegi explained in order to achieve accreditation they had to supply documentation, to the Accreditation Council, that demonstrates the Chamber’s understanding of 3 important pillars.
They are Organization/Governance, Policy and Advocacy and Membership Programs/Services.
Polegi says there are benefits that come with accreditation.
“It’s a signal to our members and to the Chamber world that we’ve achieved a certain level of excellence, and (that) we’re a very well-governed Chamber of Commerce.” Polegi said.
The accreditation is valid for 3 years — from January 1st, 2018 to December 31st, 2020.
