Saskatchewan has signed a memorandum of understanding on Carbon Capture and Storage with 3 states today (Fri).
Those three are Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming.
With the four signing a 3-year deal, they have agreed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while aiming to improve strategic and diverse energy production.
In addition they will share their knowledge, policies and regulatory expertise in the areas of carbon capture, transportation, storage and applications such as enhanced oil recovery.
It is hoped by all parties that the information sharing and exchange will both expand their respective use of Carbon Capture technology and lead to its potential wider deployment in North America and internationally.
