SGI is warning people to make sure all your documents are in order before firing up their vehicles.
Nearly 400 people were caught driving without a valid license or abiding by license restrictions.
SGI Spokesperson Tyler McMurchy says there’s no reason for motorists to not have a operational license.
“There isn’t a good excuse,” McMurchy stated. “Understandably people do make mistakes, people do forget sometimes, but we recommend if you feel like a forgetful person maybe put a reminder on your phone when your vehicle’s plates are about to expire.”
He also says there’s reminders through a person’s my-SGI account.
McMurchy says if you’re driving without a registered vehicle, you risk a 580 dollar fine.
