Premier Scott Moe spoke at the SUMA convention today (Monday) in Regina.
Moe spoke to delegates from cities, towns, villages and First Nations from across the province in his first official speech as Premier of the Province.
Moe says while times are tough across the Province, all levels of government need to find savings where they can.
“We work very hard at the provincial level to ensure that we are making the very best…and most financial responsible decisions that we can at the provincial government table while ensuring we’re trying not to shock the economy…but also trying to continue to provide the services that people expect of their provincial government,” Moe said. “My ask is that other levels of government ensure that they have the very same discussions.”
The SUMA convention takes place at Regina’s Queensbury Convention Centre until Wednesday.
