The Saskatchewan NDP held a Leadership Panel last night for the two candidates running for the leadership of the party.
One of the questions Trent Wotherspoon was asked was how he would bring back a Saskatchewan Transportation Company and where he would get the funding.
“Certainly this is important to our province. STC served as a lifeline to the people of our province and to the communities across Saskatchewan. We’re a rural, fast and remote Northern Province and the fact that we had a public provincial transportation system that served our entire province for $10 to $12 billion dollars a year actually represented very significant value to the people of this province.” said Wotherspoon.
Wotherspoon also added the transportation system would help people with health trips and other needs.
