The Ochapowace First Nation is very excited as one of their own prepares to play in his first ever NHL game.
Ethan Bear will play for the Edmonton Oilers tonight as they are home to the Nashville Predators.
Chief Margaret Bear is one of those on the way to the game. She says this is a historic night for those at the First Nation.
“Our community, our youth, our elders, you know our leaders and our families back home you know are just gleaming with joy right now and are so proud of Ethan.” stated Bear.
Bear, who is not related to Ethan, says not only is the 20 year old a source of pride for members of the Ochapowace First Nation, but First Nations across Saskatchewan.
