The Yorkton Co-op hosted a special event this (WED) morning at their grocery store location.
Grocery Manager Reagan McLelland said the 50 second shopping went well for Yorkton Co-op Customer Marcel Porte.
“Yeah no he did very phenomenal you know that 50 seconds goes by very quick but it sure adds up with Marcel walking out of here with $433 worth of stuff is phenomenal. It’s very nice that he is a local winner from the Yorkton Co-op and it was nice having the filming crew here today to film this special event for the Yorkton Co-op.” said McLelland.
Marcel Porte won the chance through the Fuel up to Win contest and explained his strategy heading into the contest.
“We started off with the two big hams since they were $24 each so that’s 50 bucks right there and then went into the fish section and continued on and got to the sausage and pretty much ran out of time, went by quick” stated Porte.
Porte also said he had 3 weeks prior to scope out the areas he wanted to target most and staff members of the Yorkton Co-op were very happy that a local member won the contest .
