The NDP is raising concern about layoffs at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
Opposition leader Ryan Meili says 42 employees will be lost to buyouts and layoffs, and he blames provincial budget shortfalls.
“At a time when more Saskatchewan people are looking for jobs, when Saskatchewan industries are struggling to costs and to last years PST expansion, how does the premier justify these jobs losses at Sask. Polytechnic to the people are seeking the quality training they need to succeed.” said Meili.
Premier Scott Moe says the adjustments are not due to the provincial budget but to market conditions.
