Pipelines and market access are on the top of the Saskatchewan Premier’s mind as he heads north.
Scott Moe will be in Yellowknife this week for the Western Premier’s Conference.
He says he’s looking forward to sitting down with BC Premier John Horgan about these very issues.
“I’m very concerned that we are missing an opportunity here in this nation to advance our economic benefit, not just in Saskatchewan, but in Western Canada, and in the nation of Canada,” Moe said.
The federally approved pipeline project has been strongly opposed by the Horgan government, with Alberta Premier Rachel Notley’s government to pass legislation that would shut off the taps to BC.
Moe says if Alberta enacts that legislation, his government will soon follow suit with their own.
