Continued dry weather is causing more issues for SaskPower.
One of the driest years on record in and around Regina has seen continued ground shifting and wires being tugged on.
City spokesperson Ryan Blair says as a result, SaskPower crews have been out repairing homes, many of them in the north and west areas.
“So last year we inspected all these homes that were built in the late 60’s or the early 70’s that had the small boxes and copper electrical wiring.” said Blair.
Blair adds they’re continuing to see ground settling, but they believe the risk of major incidents is significantly lower.
