Stats from Tourism Yorkton and the Saskatchewan Government show tourism has an impact on both the local and provincial economy.
The numbers were released as part of Tourism Week this week.
Annually, about 32-million dollars is brought into the City of Yorkton from tourism, while it contributes roughly $2.19 billion to Saskatchewan’s economy.
Provincially, over 67-thousand people were employed in tourism-related industries in 2017.
More than 13.6 million visits were made to and within the province last year.
