Manitoba farmers are wrapping up seeding operations.
Manitoba Agriculture Crops Specialist Anne Kirk says seeding is 99% complete, the same as last year at this time, and ahead of the 5 year average of 96% complete.
Kirk says the crops are advancing well…
“We’re seeing good emergent and good developments especially with the recent rain we’ve had and the warmer weather and so were seeing good emergency development across the board.” said Kirk.
Kirk says now that seeding is for all intents and purposes complete, growers will focus on weeds and insects.
