Val Marie is cleaning up today after that intense storm system from Montana rolled through on Tuesday spawning a series of tornadoes.
The mayor of Val Marie is Roland Facette, who is also the town’s fire chief, says it came in quickly.
“I was out checking cows, and I made it to the half-ton, and then there was a terrible wind and after that it started to hail, and the hail were as big as a golf ball.”
Other pictures from the area show the hail being as large as a tennis ball.
Facette says the storm was the worst he has seen since the mid 50’s and that there is a lot of clean-up happening as tree branches were ripped off and windows were broken.
