A John Deere Dealership in Rosthern sustained 20-million dollars worth of damage because of a fire yesterday morning (Sun).
The Rosthern Fire Department, their counterparts from various communities and employees of the business tried to douse the flames and save as much equipment and material as possible.
Nobody was injured and the fire was contained by about 3 o’clock that afternoon.
The fire burned for about five hours as it was fuelled by used oil, tires and flammable materials inside the shop.
The company is in the process of setting up temporary facilities and the 25 to 30 employees will remain on the job.
Additional support will come from Cervus dealerships in Prince Albert and Saskatoon.
