This week’s Saskatchewan crop report notes that producers in the northeast part of the province are dealing with wetter conditions.
Saskatchewan Agriculture spokeswoman Shannon Friesen notes they usually start harvest later than the rest of the province anyway.
“Things again are advancing rapidly. Some of those pulse crops, peas, in particular, are starting to dry down. But harvest likely for most producers won’t begin for a month or so.” said Friesen.
Friesen adds that there were a number of reports of hail, wind, and flood damage in the past week.
