Yorkton Municipal RCMP and the Yorkton Fire Department responded to a two vehicle collision between a grain truck and a car Tuesday afternoon at about 4:20 p.m.
The Fire Department tweeted at about 5:25 p.m. they were at the scene of what they called a “serious accident”.
It was at the intersection of Highways 16 and 9, south of Yorkton, which resulted in the closure of the road while Mounties and Firefighters tended to the scene.
The occupants of the car were taken to hospital by Stars Air Ambulance and ground ambulance for further treatment of their injuries, while the lone occupant of the truck was treated on scene and released.
RCMP don’t believe speed and alcohol were factors in the collision, but continue to investigate.
