As expected, SaskPower is reporting another new consumption record due to demand for fans and air conditioners.
The power company’s Johnathan Trembley says a new record was set last Thursday but was eclipsed the very next day.
“The new record will stand at 3524 so that’s only 4 more megawatts than Thursday’s record. But certainly, it’s 54 megawatts over the 2017 summer peak, which is about the equivalent power of about 50-thousand homes.” said Trembley.
He says with hotter weather to come in the 2nd half of the week, that record could also fall.
