Hot, dry conditions are taking a toll on some Manitoba crops.
Manitoba Agriculture crops specialist Anne Kirk says Warm temperatures continue to advance crops quickly however moisture stress is evident in corn, soybeans, and sunflowers.
Kirk says the lack of moisture has also limited the yield potential in crops.
“We are seeing area’s of higher moisture and having higher yields in the east-central region and in the central area where there have been some areas with higher rainfalls so moisture conditions definitely impacted yields.” said Kirk.
A lack of moisture has also limited hay output and pasture growth.
