The Legal Services Task Team, established in 2017, released a final report into the possibility of allowing non-lawyers provide some legal services in Saskatchewan.
Spearheaded by the Ministry of Justice and Law Society of Saskatchewan, the team consisted of 11 members with various backgrounds in legal services.
A number of recommendations were made on how regulations can be changed to improve the provision of legal services and access to justice in the province.
The Ministry and Law Society are taking the 151-page report, and its recommendations, into consideration.
