The John A. MacDonald statue in Regina’s Victoria Park has been vandalized again. The hands of the first Prime Minister of Canada has been sprayed with red paint. The last time it was vandalized was back in February, then again in 2012. Controversy regarding statues of MacDonald was re-ignited when a statue of him was removed in Victoria. On Friday, a downtown Montreal statue of MacDonald was spray-painted red, with an anti-colonial group claiming responsibility.
