The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Yorkton will be closing its doors.
Lieutenant Samuel Tim says the store is no longer able to sustain itself financially, despite efforts to find other solutions.
Tim says the commitment to serving those who rely on the Salvation Army in the area, however, is not changing anytime soon.
Beginning immediately the store won’t be accepting donations of clothing or household items and Tim says those donations should be taken to one of the drop boxes around Yorkton or to Value Village.
Last day of operation is September 21st.
The international Christian organization has been in Yorkton since 1913.
