Saskatchewan Agriculture reports harvest progress in the province is now 39% complete, well ahead of the 5 year average for this time of year of 25% complete.
Farmers in southwestern Saskatchewan continue to set the pace, with 60 per cent of the crop now combined, while the southeastern region has 56 per cent combined, northeastern region 14 per cent the northwestern region has 8 per cent.
Harvest in the west-central and the east-central regions 32 per cent is complete; the five year average for harvest progress in east central Saskatchewan is 16% complete.
Across the province, topsoil moisture conditions on cropland are rated as 22 per cent adequate, 47 per cent short and 31 per cent very short.
Hay land and pasture topsoil moisture is rated as 18 per cent adequate, 41 per cent short and 41 per cent very short.
