A 19-year-old Fishing Lake First Nation man is going to jail, after admitting to a number of offences that date back to February.
In Yorkton Provincial Court today (Mon), Lane Nattaucappo pleaded guilty to Breach of a Conditional Sentence, Dangerous Driving, Flight From Police, and Driving While Over .08.
He received 87 days in jail, to be followed by 1-year of probation, nearly 3-thousand dollars in fines, and a 1-year driving ban.
Court was told Nattaucappo led police on a chase near Quill Lake in March, and managed to escape
However, he was arrested last Saturday afternoon near Mozart, after police received a report of a driver who was swerving all over Highway 16, and ended up in the ditch.
Nataucappo’s blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit.
