In front of friends and family, 31 new Canadians took the Oath of Citizenship at the Saskatchewan Legislature today (Tues).
The ceremony also helps mark the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program’s (SINP) 20th anniversary.
About 7 out of 10 newcomers immigrate to the province through the program.
Between 2007 and 2017, over 108-thousand newcomers arrived in more than 400 communities across the province, with 77-thousand 300 of them going through the immigrant program.
The current population in Saskatchewan is nearly 1.2-million.
