Charges have been laid in connection to an Amber Alert that was issued in North Battleford.
The Amber Alert was triggered on Sunday (Sept. 16) after a 6-year-old girl was abducted from a strip mall in the community, but was found early Monday morning (Sept. 17).
19-year-old Johnathan Gunville, of North Battleford, is facing 2 counts each of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Driving while Disqualified, Abduction of a Person under 14 and 13 other offences.
The charges stem from the Alert as well as two subsequent vehicle thefts on Wednesday (Sept. 19) and Thursday (Sept. 20).
He has been remanded into custody for his appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday (Sept. 24).
