A Waywayseecappo First Nation woman arrested after a fatal two-vehicle collision near Elphinstone, has made another court appearance.
28-year-old Tanis Cote was in Minnedosa yesterday (Tue), where she had previously pleaded guilty to Driving While Over .08 Causing Death and Driving While Over .08 Causing Bodily Harm.
Her matters were adjourned until October 16th to set a date for a sentencing circle.
In August of last year, a car was travelling southbound on a grid road, when it failed to stop at the intersection, and collided with an S-U-V travelling east on Highway 45.
A passenger in the car, a 31-year-old woman from the Keeseekoowenin First Nation, was pronounced dead at the scene, while two other passengers, along with the two occupants of the S-U-V, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
