Co-Ops in Yorkton and Kamsack participated in the “Fuel Good Day” promotion September 18th to raise funds for two organizations.
For the whole day, two C-Store locations in Yorkton and one in Kamsack donation 10 cents for every litre of fuel sold.
There was a pancake breakfast at the Palliser Way location and a BBQ lunch at the West Broadway location as well as a BBQ at the Kamsack location.
In total, the Yorkton Co-Op is donating $6-thousand 647 dollars and 5 cents to the Yorkton Fire Fighters Burn Fund.
In a news release, Co-Op says the money will be used for people in need, in many different areas during or after an emergency situation.
The Kamsack Co-Op is donating $1-thousand 370 dollars and 90 cents to the Kamsack Volunteer Fire Department.
That money will be used for buying a thermal imaging camera and/or an emergency saw that can cut into roofs and walls during a house fire emergency.
