Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) is letting customers know they can still do business with the crown company.
This after news of rotating strikes by Canada Post workers in Victoria, Edmonton, Windsor and Halifax started today (Mon).
SGI Spokesman Tyler McMurchy says people can use online services, such as MySGI.ca, or by visiting an SGI Canada broker or motor license insurer in person in the event of a postal service disruption here in Saskatchewan.
“We encourage them to check the expiry date on their driver’s license, their vehicle registration and any SGI Canada insurance policy, whether it’s home or auto pak or business, to make sure they have arrangements to renew those as regular reminders might not be sent out in the mail in the event of a postal strike.” McMurchy said.
“We want to make sure that insurance coverage doesn’t lapse.”
He says these options will help reduce the impact a potential service disruption may have on customers.
